Utility Washer to allow for easy bit removal. Our breakaway washer is designed to prevent costly downtime and thread damage caused by jammed core bits. Installed between the drill shaft stop and the drill bit, the washer is secured to the shaft with two Allen screws.
If a bit becomes stuck during operation, simply loosen the two screws to release the clamping force and easily unscrew the bit from the shaft. This controlled release helps prevent severe lock-up, protects the drill shaft threads, and makes bit changes faster and safer in the field.
